At Aarvik gard, I hold various courses during the year. Would you like to learn how to bake with sourdough? Or maybe you need to calm your soul and come into balance with yourself? Then it is appropriate to come to peaceful Aarvik farm on a Yoga weekend.

Sourdough course

On the course you get practical training in how to bake with sourdough and decorating techniques, what happens in the dough when it ferments and why it is good for the body and gut. You will learn how to keep your starter healthy and in good shape, and I will go through the various watch grains.


The course includes:

Practical training, ready-baked pastries, 2 doughs, cutting blade, starter, recipes with methods and a good local food lunch with freshly baked sourdough bread.


Bring 2 jam jars, 2 bread tins or proofing basket, good shoes, apron, kitchen towel and preferably a cool bag to keep your dough in for the journey home.

Sweet pastry with sourdough

On the course, you get practical training in how to bake with sweet sourdough and decoration, about fermentation. We bake Christmas bread, buns and sweet horns. You will learn how to keep your starter healthy and in good shape, and I will go through the various watch grains.


The course includes:

Practical training, pre-baked pastries, 2 doughs, cutting blade, starter, recipes with method of operation and a good local food lunch with freshly baked sourdough bread and buns.


Bring 2 jam jars, 2 bread tins or proofing basket, good shoes, apron, kitchen towel and preferably a cool bag to keep your dough in for the journey home.

Sweet baking course

On the course, you will receive practical training in how to bake with sweet pastries as I do in the bakery with little yeast and a long rising time.


We bake tangzhong buns with different types of fillings and scones.


The course includes:

Practical training, pre-baked pastry, 2 doughs, cutting blade, starter, recipes with method and a good local food lunch with freshly baked rolls and buns.


Bring 2 small baking bowls, good shoes, apron, kitchen towel and preferably a cooling bag to keep your dough in for the journey home.
